Thunder Preview: OKC’s First of Two in L.A.

Basketball Insider
The Thunder head to L.A. and face the Lakers. OKC currently leads the series against the Lakers two-to-one.
Yet over in LA, the Lakers have been struggling, skidding on a seven game losing streak.
The Lakers will look to equalize the OKC series and break their losing streak.
Push it to the Limit
The Lakers have the seventh best pace in the NBA. By pushing the pace they are able to control offensive possessions.
Another plus to controlling the pace is taking advantage of turnovers. Ranking fifth in the league with points made in the fast break, the Lakers average 14.6 per game.
Westbrick No More
Even though Russell Westbrook has gone through some obstacles this season, he has been back to the player OKC remembers lately.
In his past two games, Westbrook has averaged 27.5 points per game at a 61.5 percent clip from the field. Against Denver he was truly dominant by recording another double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds.
Stopping Westbrook will be difficult for this Thunder team to accomplish.
Thunderous Threes
Despite Oklahoma City having the worst three point percentage in the league by averaging 32.5 percent, OKC tapped into a new energy against Utah.
The Thunder shot 43 percent from the perimeter on Wednesday night. Leading the team in triples, Jaylen Hoard shot five-of-eight from behind the arc.
If Oklahoma City can keep up their sharp shooting, it will be huge.
Notable: OKC has waived Olivier Sarr from their roster and has signed Melvin Frazies Jr. to a two-way deal.
