The Thunder Draft Santa Clara’s Jalen Williams with Pick No. 12

The Thunder Draft Santa Clara’s Jalen Williams with Pick No. 12

Jalen Williams is a six-foot-six explosive playmaker. Always taking care of the ball, Williams has an impressive assist to turnover ratio of four-to-two.

His ball-handling skills improved every season in college. Maintaining ball movement and facilitating the pick-and-roll look simple for him. Williams vision and feel will no doubt be transferable to the NBA.

Capable of more than just play-making, Williams is strong from deep. Making 39.6 percent of his triples, Williams can be a real threat.

The Thunder can definitely use more perimeter power, so Williams will be a great addition to OKC.

Even though Williams lacks quickness, he always gives incredible effort on defense. Stays active and never gives up, this does not show up on the stat sheet but is a culture fit for Oklahoma City.

Adding another skilled ball-handler to take care  of the secondary rotation will bode well for Tre Mann and others.
