NORMAN — After winning its sixth national title in program history, the Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team finished the season atop the standings with an NCAA Championships record-tying score of 198.3875 (previously set by OU in 2017). The Sooners held the top spot for the entire 2023 season, their third time to accomplish the feat in program history.
The final ranking is determined by separating the teams into the following groups and ordering them within their group by the following formula:
- No. 1 – 4: by NCAA Final score
- No. 5 – 8: by NCAA Semifinal score
- No. 9 – 16: by adding Regular Season NQS to Round III Regional score
- No. 17 – 32: by adding Regular Season NQS to Round II Regional score
- No. 33 – 36: by adding Regular Season NQS to Round I Regional score
- No. 37+: by Regular Season NQS
