Texas Swept In Two-Game Series Against Arizona

The Arizona Diamondbacks, 49-47 overall, swept the Texas Rangers, 50-46 , in a two-game series at Globe Life Park. Texas lost the series opener 9-2. Center fielder Joey Gallo hit a solo home run, his 22nd, and shortstop Elvis Andrus drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. Starter Lance Lynn earned his fifth loss after allowing five runs and striking out six in six innings.
Texas lost game two 19-4. Left fielder Danny Santana hit a two-run home run, his 12th, and a solo home run, his 13th, and infielder Logan Forsythe hit a solo home run, his fifth. Starter Jesse Chavez earned his fifth loss after allowing seven runs in 2/3 innings.
Texas will start a 10-game road trip with a three-game series against the Houston Astros, 60-37, which can be heard:
