Texas Splits Four-Game Series Against Seattle

The Texas Rangers, 67-71 overall, split a four-game series against the Seattle Mariners, 58-80, at GLobe Life Park. Texas lost the series opener 5-3. Left fielder Willie Calhoun hit a solo home run, his 16th. Third baseman Isiah Kiner-Falefa hit a RBI double, his 11th. Closer Jose Leclerc earned his fourth loss after losing allowing two runs in the ninth inning.
Texas won game two 6-3. First baseman Danny Santana hit a solo home run, his 24th,and catcher Jose Trevino hit a two-run double, his third. Starter Kolby Allard earned his third win after allowing two runs and striking out four in 5 2/3 innings and reliever Emmanuel Clase earned his first save after striking out one in ninth inning.
Texas won game three 3-2. Shortstop Elvis Andrus hit a RBI double, his 25th, and Kiner-Falefa hit a RBI single. Clase earned his second win after striking out one in 2/3 innings.
Texas lost the series finale 11-3. Second baseman Rougned Odor drove in two run with two groundouts and designated hitter Nick Solak hit a RBI triple, his first. Starter Brett Martin earned his third loss after allowing four runs in 2/3 innings.
Texas will start a seven-game road trip with a three-game series against the New York Yankees, 90-48, which can be heard on:
