Texas Loses Series Against Toronto

The Texas Rangers, 60-60 overall, lost a three-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays, 51-73, at the Rogers Centre. Texas lost the series opener 19-4. Second baseman Rougned Odor and right fielder Nomar Mazara each hit solo home runs, Odor’s 21st and Mazara’s 16th, as part of their two-hit performances. Ariel Jurado earned his eighth loss after allowing eight runs in 3 2/3 innings.
Texas lost game two 3-0. First baseman Danny Santana had a two-hit game. Starter Lance Lynn earned his eighth loss after allowing a run and striking out six in five innings.
Texas won the series finale 7-3. Shortstop Elvis Andrus had a four-hit game and Santana hit a solo home run, his 19th. Starter Kolby Allard earned his first win after allowing three runs and striking out five in 5 2/3 innings.
Texas will host the Minnesota Twins, 72-48, for a four-game series at GLobe Life Park, which can be heard on:
