NORMAN – Oklahoma baseball dominated all three phases of the game and earned the 8-1 victory over Wichita State on Tuesday night at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
The Sooners were first and last on the board, scoring one run on a sacrifice fly in the first and closing the contest with a pair of insurance runs in the eighth.
“Jackson [Nicklaus] and [John] Spikerman looked like they saw the ball better tonight and Bryce [Madron] really saw it well,” said Oklahoma head baseball coach Skip Johnson. “He continues to go forward and hopefully the other two guys will get rolling and we can play a little bit more on offense.”
