OU WBB: Seven game non-conference schedule announced

OU Basketball
NORMAN- The Oklahoma Sooners announced the seven game non-conference slate for the upcoming women’s basketball season.
Opening night will be Nov. 25 as the Sooners play host to the Houston Cougars. Sherri Coale’s Sooners fell 85-69 to the Cougars in their regular season matchup last season.
After opening up at the Lloyd Noble Center, Oklahoma will travel to the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic in Vermillion, South Dakota to play three opponents to be named at a later date.
The Georgia Bulldogs await the Sooners in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. The trip to Athens will represent the last road game of Oklahoma’s non-conference schedule.
Oklahoma returns to host Texas State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff before heading into Big 12 Conference play.
Coale is looking to guide her team through a bounce back season following the Sooners 12-18 finish to last year.
Standout guard Ana Llanusa announced she would undergo season ending surgery last week, leaving a gaping hole for the Sooners.

The preseason All-Big 12 Honorable Mention averaged 15.4 points per game, shooting 41 percent from the field.
In conjunction with the men’s basketball team, the Lloyd Noble Center will host crowds this season, capped at 25 percent capacity.
