Oklahoma State couldn’t get anything going against North Texas on Wednesday.
The Cowgirls took a step back as they lost 5-1 to North Texas at Lovelace Stadium.
With the loss, OSU falls to 41-10, while North Texas improves to 30-20.
OSU struggled to get the offense going on Wednesday as the Cowgirls had only six hits and left six runners on base.
Kelly Maxwell got the start in the circle and gave OSU a chance, giving up three runs on four hits and seven strikeouts in five innings pitched.
OSU got the scoring started in the third after Chyenne Factor launched a ball over the center field wall, giving the Cowgirls the 1-0 lead.

After both teams didn’t score in the fourth, North Texas caught fire in the fifth.
The Mean Green got one home after Lexi Cobb hit a two-out RBI single, scoring Katy Truitt and tying the game at 1-1.
The Cowgirl defense gave up more runs after Kiley Naomi’s throwing error, scoring two more for North Texas and putting them up 3-1.
Lexi Kilfoyl came on in the sixth for OSU and North Texas still had their way. She gave up two runs on three hits in one inning pitched.
North Texas scored another run in the sixth after Micaela Wark couldn’t handle the ball at first base, scoring Emma Grahmann and increasing the lead to 4-1.
North Texas kept it going after Molly Rainey’s two-out single scored Truitt to extend the North Texas lead.
OSU couldn’t mount a comeback in the seventh, losing to the Mean Green 5-1.
