Oklahoma WR Drake Stoops Named Semifinalist for Prestigious College Football Award
The William V. Campbell Trophy is widely regarded as the “Academic Heisman” and the Sooners had a history of past players with the award.

Oklahoma wide receiver Drake Stoops has been named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy for the second consecutive year, the National Football Foundation announced Wednesday.

The Campbell Trophy, in its 34th year, is awarded to the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.
