NORMAN – The road to the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, will make a journey through Norman and Lloyd Noble Center starting Thursday for the top-ranked Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team. Oklahoma is one of four NCAA Regional host sites this season, meaning the Sooners will have a home-floor advantage during the three-day regional competition this week. This will be the fifth time for the OU to host a regional (also in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2022).
“It’s special not only for these women and the student-athletes here, but for all our fans who have the opportunity to come and see this kind of an event with this level of talent,” head coach K.J. Kindler said. “Seven teams in the top 25, nine great teams, and some really, really great gymnastics. We’re super honored, excited and hoping to fill the stands after our great attendance this year.”
