Mississippi State coach Mike Leach has a way with words.

Leach joined the Franchise’s new podcast “Cowboy Cast” Monday afternoon and discussed a wide range of topics. Some topics include Leach’s preview of the upcoming Oklahoma State vs. Texas Tech game, the recent coaching and team changes in the Big 12 and, of course, Thanksgiving. He also denied any involvement in Texas Tech’s recent head coaching search and wished newly hired Joey McGuire luck.

Leach coached Texas Tech for nine years, making him an expert on all things Lubbock. Leach has won coach of the year three times in his storied career and was one of the founders of the air raid offense. Aside from his football knowledge, Leach is known for his rants about miscellaneous topics such as mascot battles, candy corn, weddings and much more.

In addition to the main topics, Leach also talked about his favorite Stillwater memories, favorite Mike Gundy story and shared recipes in this episode.

Leach’s Bulldogs are currently 6-4 in a tough SEC conference and came back from down 25 points vs. Auburn last week.

The “Cowboy Cast” is hosted by The Franchise’s OSU insiders, Ryan Novozinsky and Jared A’Latorre. Each week, they will interview a notable guest from OSU’s upcoming opponent and preview the game with them. Novozinsky and A’Latorre are seniors in OSU’s school of media and strategic communications.
