Brent Venables talked about how the Sooner offense is going to have to make adjustments because of injury.
NORMAN– It’s still too early in the season to jump to conclusions about what OU’s offense will look like the rest of the season. Injuries have taken a toll on the offensive line as well as the wide receiving core, and its shows.
The Sooners are 2-0 going into week three, but they have had to heavily rely on their defense. With the offensive line as injured as they are it makes it hard for Brent Venables and the Sooners to establish the run game. Oklahoma has also had a hard time being able to convert on third down. The Sooners only managed to have 249 total offensive yards with only 15 first downs.

“We got to be more precise and take good angles and be in position to tackle and use the right techniques to get them down. At times we try to do a little bit too much. Last week, as I said, I thought the end result was pretty good defensively,” said Venables.
“We had one drive that was seven minutes and we went 20 yards and that was just frustrating. We just need to work on being more disciplined because every week is a challenge of its own.”
Venables went on to talk about their opponent they will face this weekend and here is what he had to say about the Green Wave.
“The last two years Tulane has been a really successful program, they’re 23-5 over the last two years. Three of their losses have come in the last two minutes of the game. They’ve won ten straight road games, which is the third longest streak in College football.”
The 15th ranked Sooners (2-0) will face Tulane (1-1) this Saturday back in Norman for their third straight game at home. Kickoff is at 2:30.
