Coach Speak: Oklahoma Focused on Building Off ‘Tough’ and ‘Nasty’ Start

Offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby and defensive coordinator Ted Roof looked ahead to the Sooners’ second matchup of the season against the SMU Mustangs.

NORMAN — Days after wiping the floor with Arkansas State, No. 20-ranked Oklahoma already has its eyes set on SMU.

The Sooners dominated every phase of the game, sending the Red Wolves back to Jonesboro on the wrong end of a 73-0 defeat.

But both offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby and defensive coordinator Ted Roof know a much tougher challenge lies ahead when OU welcomes the Mustangs into Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.
