Westbrook Signs Extension…With Jordan Brand

OKC Thunder MVP Russell Westbrook  Has signed a ten year extension with Nike’s Jordan brand. Westbrook had already been associated with the Jordan brand since 2013.

According to ESPN this extension makes Westbrook the most lucrative athlete on the Jordan brand. Other names on the Jordan brand include Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul.

Also, as a part of the extension , Jordan brand will donate to Westbrook’s “Why Not” foundation.

One of the more interesting parts of the deal is the “ambassador clause” that will give Westbrook an opportunity to represent Jordan even when he retires.

While Westbrook has put his signature on his off the court extension the OKC Thunder are still waiting for number zero to sign the offered five year  Designated Veteran extentention. The deadline to sign that is October 16th.
