Week 13 Recap – Late Night Fantasy

Week 13 – The Cowboys found a way to win against the Redskins, behind Alfred Morris’ huge day. In what figured to be an offensive battle, The VIkins geld on to Beat the Falcons 14-9. The Dolphins ran away with a huge win over the struggling Broncos. Kenyan Drake had his breakout day, with 23 fantasy points. The Rams secured a winning record with a dominate win over the Cardinals, and the Patriots looked lost but still took care of the bills, 23-3.

The Chiefs struggle continued big time in a close loss to the New York Jets. Josh McCown was incredible, staking a claim as a viable starter week in and week out. He and Jermaine Kearse have become a nice tandem, with Kearse bringing in 9 catches and 157 yards. Alex Smith and the Chiefs offense found some life, with Alex Smith leading all players with 45 points, which included 366, 4 Td and to top it off, a 70 yard mad dash down the field.

The Seahawks looked resurgent against the soaring Eagles, and despite the stiff Seattle D, Nelson Algholor balled out, with 141 yards and a TD. Russell Wilson remained a top 3 QB, finishing with 30 points. No one either side looked terribly impressive but Wentz still aired it out all night, throwing for nearly 350 yards.

The Saints got back on track with a 31-21 win against the divisional rival Carolina Panthers. The running game was the story again as Alvin Kamara totaled over 120 yards, and had two big rushing touchdowns. Mark Ingram produced almost the exact same line, minus one score. The Saints running backs combined for 52 fantasy points on the day. The Panthers offense had some good moments from Newton, who controlled the ball successfully all day, and had no turnovers. A huge fantasy owner sigh of relief.

The Cowboys win against the Redskins looked like a rejuvenated team taking advantage of a lackadaisical team. Dak Prescott wasn’t relied on as much, only completing 11 passes for 102 yards. A down week for sure, but with a division win ass the result who can complain. The Boys defense stepped up, scoring once and forcing two more punts.
