On Monday at Tulsa football media day, several players and coach Philip Montgomery openly discussed being motivated by their last-place forecast in last month’s American Athletic Conference media poll.

Just one year after going 10-3, TU went 2-10 last season.

Players are confident things will be much better in 2018. One player even targeted winning The American and landing in a New Year’s Six bowl.
