Thunder Assistant Maurice Cheeks Hospitalized in Philadelphia

Thunder assistant coach Maurice Cheeks underwent a ‘medical emergency’ on a flight to Philadelphia, The Franchise has learned:

According to ESPN’s Royce Young, Cheeks is “doing well,” and is “in good spirits.” He is waiting in a Philadelphia-area hospital waiting on test results.

Cheeks, a former point guard himself, has forged a close personal relationship with Thunder star Russell Westbrook. Cheeks is fifth all-time in steals and 11th in assists.
