This Old Dog Has Learned a New Trick

Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy, 49, has debuted a phone app to help keep himself relevant with college recruits.

“CoachGundy” is the go-to place for recruits, alumni and casual fans to find the Cowboys schedule, roster, coaching staff and more.

Gundy released his exclusive app on August 25, in time to be used for the 2016 football season. This app should also help Gundy and the OSU football program appeal to high school students who are interested in playing at OSU.

OSU ranked in the top 50 in recruiting classes for 2016, but state rival OU ranked in the top 10 and this app might be a way to close the gap for the future recruiting classes.

Sections like “Strength Training” and “Facilities” are a couple of the main ways for recruits to get an inside look at the program and hopefully increase their interest in Oklahoma State.

The app also offers an “Ask Gundy” section to offer anyone the chance to feel more connected to Gundy and the team.
