Texas Swept In Houston, To Continue Road Trip In Seattle

The Houston Astros, 64-37 overall, swept the Texas Rangers, 50-49, in a three-game series at Minute Maid Park. Texas lost the series opener 4-3. Second baseman Rougned Odor and third baseman Asdrúbal Cabrera each hit solo home runs, Odor’s 14th and Cabrera’s 12th. Starter Mike Minor earned his fifth loss after allowing four runs and striking out 10 in seven innings.

Texas lost game two 6-1. Left fielder Shin-Soo Choo hit a solo home run, his 16th. Starter Ariel Jurado earned his sixth loss after allowing five runs and striking out four in five innings.

Texas lost the series finale 5-3. Right fielder Nomar Mazara and third baseman Logan Forsythe each hit solo home runs, Mazara’s 13th and Forsythe’s sixth. Starter Lance Lynn earned his sixth loss after allowing four runs and striking out 12 in seven innings.

Texas will continue its 10-game road trip with a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners, 40-62, which can be heard on:
