The Texas Rangers (58-74) lost two of three against the San Francisco Giants (66-67) at AT&T Park.
Left fielder Shin-Soo Choo hit a two-run single in fifth inning of the series opener. Center fielder Joey Gallo hit a solo home run, his 34th, in the seventh before he hit a RBI single in the eighth. Finally, second baseman Rougned Odor hit a two-run home run, his 16th, in the ninth before catcher Robinson Chirinos earned a RBI walk in the 10th. Texas won 7-6 in the 10th.
Starter Drew Hutchison allowed six runs, four walks and struck out two in four innings before the bullpen walked two and struck out nine in six scoreless innings, which included closer Jose Leclerc’s seventh save.
Odor hit a three-run home run, his 17th, in eighth of game two. Texas lost 5-3.
Lefty Martin Pérez allowed four runs, a walk and struck out four in five innings before the bullpen allowed a run, two walks and struck out five in three innings.
Shortstop Elvis Andrus hit a RBI double, his 17th, in the third of the series finale. Texas lost 3-1.
Starter Yovani Gallardo allowed three runs, three walks and struck out three in five innings before the bullpen struck out three in three scoreless innings.
Texas will start a eight-game homestand with a two-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers (70-61) at Globe Life Park.
