State Of Oklahoma Claims Two ‘Of The Week’ Honors

After two weeks of college football this season, one thing is for certain: the state of Oklahoma is running the Big 12.

The Cowboys routed South Alabama and the Sooners handled the #2 Ohio State buckeyes in one of the best non-conference games this year. Within those two wins, a couple players performed at a higher level than their counterparts.

Baker Mayfield takes home the Big 12 offensive player of the week after putting up 386 and three touchdowns through the air. The special teams player of the week went to OSU kicker Matt Amendola, who scored 14 points and hit his career long field goal of 53 yards.

The other two taking weekly accolades was K-State’s Kendall Adams (Defensive) and West Virginia’s Will Grier (Newcomer).
