Sooners Sweep Cal Poly For Perfect 2019 Start

The Oklahoma Sooners (3-0) swept the Cal Poly Mustangs (0-3) during a three-game weekend series.

Third baseman Brylie Ware and first baseman Tyler Hardman combined for to drive in two of the four runs OU scored in game one. OU won 4-1.

OU had four pitchers combine for six strikeouts and five walks and allow an earned run.

OU had eight players drive in a run in game two. Shortstop Brandon Zaragoza led the team with two RBIs. OU won 9-3.

Starter Nathan Wiles struck out three, walked two in and allowed three runs, two earned, in seven innings. Then, two relievers closed out the game with five strikeouts.

Left fielder Jordan Vujovich drove in a run and second baseman Conor McKenna and Hardman each drove in two runs. OU won 5-2.

Lefty starter Levi Prater struck out five, walked one and allowed an earned run in 6 1/3 innings. Then, the bullpen allowed a run, a walk and struck out three.

OU will play Dallas Baptist at Dallas on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. CT
