Sooners land sharpshooting transfer, Reaves, from Wichita State

Oklahoma continues to restock its backcourt.

Austin Reaves, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard, signed a financial aid agreement with Oklahoma finalizing his transfer from Wichita State the school announced Tuesday. The sophomore out of Newark, Arkansas, will have to sit out a season due to NCAA transfer rules, but he will have two more years of eligibility after that.

Reaves was a sharpshooter with the Shockers. He averaged 3.8 3-point attempts per game last season while shooting 42.5 percent from behind the arc. He played 21.5 minutes per game and started eight of the last 14 games of the season. He scored 23 points while shooting 7 of 11…
