REPORT: Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione will be one of the new College Football Playoff committee members

According to Heather Dinich of ESPN, Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione has been selected as one of the new members on the College Football Playoff selection committee.

The Playoff committee consists of 13 members that are currently athletic directors, school administrators, former respected journalists, or former head football coaches (the committee can also include former student-athletes). Dinich says Castigilione will replace Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt as the Big 12’s nomination for the Playoff committee.

A new College Football Playoff committee chair will also be named, with Hocutt rotating off of his term.

Each member serves a three-year term.
