Rangers Win Final Series In Globe Life Park Against The Yankees

The Texas Rangers, 78-84 overall, won a three-game series against the New York Yankees, 103-59, in the final series of Global Life Park. Texas lost the series opener 14-7. First baseman Danny Santana hit a two-run home run, his 28th, designated hitter Shin-Soo Choo hit a two-run home run, his 24th, and right fielder Scott Heineman hit a solo home run, his second. Lefty Joe Palumbo earned his third loss after allowing three runs and striking out seven in three innings.

Texas won game two 9-4. Second baseman Rougned Odor hit a grand slam, his 30th home run, and a two-run double, his 30th. Reliever Jonathan Hernández earned his second win after striking out two in two innings.

Texas won the series finale 6-1. First baseman Ronald Guzmán hit a two-run single and Santana hit a one-run single. Starter Lance Lynn earned his 16th win after allowing a run and striking out 10 in 7 1/3 innings.
