Rangers Split Two-Game Series Against The Angels

The Texas Rangers, 65-69 overall, split a two-game series against the Los Angeles Angels, 64-71, at Angel Stadium. Texas lost the series opener 5-2. Right fielder Shin-Soo Choo hit a RBI single and third baseman Danny Santana hit a solo home run, his 23rd. Starter Mike Minor earned his eighth loss after allowing four runs and striking out four in 6 2/3 inning.

Texas won the series finale 3-0. Second baseman Nick Solak hit a RBI single and third baseman Isiah Kiner-Falefa hit a two-run double, his 10th. Pitcher Ariel Jurado earned his seventh win after striking out one in six innings and closer Jose Leclerc earned his ninth save after striking out two in the ninth.
