The Houston Texans are done hearing excuses from Ryan Mallett. He’s no longer on the team.

Mallett was released by the team Tuesday, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, according to a source informed of the Texans‘ plans. John McClain of the Houston Chronicle first reported the news.
