Paul George Named All-NBA First-Team: Westbrook Third-Team

OKLAHOMA CITY — The NBA announced the All-NBA teams. Oklahoma City was represented on the first-team and the second-team.

Paul George was named to his fifth All-NBA team of his career. This season marked the first time he’s ever been voted on the All-NBA first-team.

Last season saw George make third-team All-NBA in his first year with the Thunder. He has also been third-team in 2013, 2014 and 2016 with the Indiana Pacers. George made second-team All-NBA

George has been All-Defensive First-Team (2014) and 2019.

Russell Westbrook was voted on to the All-NBA third-team. This became his eighth season where he has earned an All-NBA honor.

Westbrook earned first-team honors in 2016 and 2017; second-team from 2011-2013, 2015 and 2018.

With these honors, Oklahoma City has enjoyed 10 straight seasons with a player on any three of the All-NBA squads. This streak leads all franchises in that span.

Yesterday saw George named to All-NBA Defensive first-team.

George is also one of three finalists for Defensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player. The awards will be revealed on TNT June 24th.
