OU Wins Home Shut Out Against Little Rock

The Oklahoma Sooners (24-11) shutout the Little Rock Trojans (17-14) Tuesday night at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman, Oklahoma.

 

OU left fielder Blake Brewster started a five-RBI game with a two-run home run in the fifth inning before center fielder Steele Walker hit a solo home run in the sixth. In the seventh, Brewster hit a two-run double before right fielder Cade Harris hit a one-run double. Later in the inning, Walker finished the six-run rally with a three-run home run, his second of the day. Brewster continued his day with a sacrifice fly in the eighth before three runs scored on a dropped ball in the outfield. OU won 13-0.

 

Starter Kyle Tyler pitched eight scoreless innings, allowed two hits and struck out nine to earn his third win before reliever Zack Matthews struck out two in a scoreless ninth.

 

OU’s next game will be tonight against the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (17-13) at 6:30 p.m. at L. Dale Mitchell Park.

 

Tonight’s game can be heard on 107.9 Tulsa.
