OU Sweeps Kansas, To Travel To Stillwater For Bedlam

The Sooners, 21-4 overall, took the series opener 5-1 to start the sweep. First baseman Tyler Hardman capped OU’s offense with a two-run home run in game one. Starter Cade Cavalli earned his third win with four strikeouts in 6 2/3 shutout innings to beat the Jayhawks, 13-10.

Third baseman Brylie Ware got three hits and drove in one to help OU win 4-3 in game two. Starter Nathan Wiles earned his fifth win with seven shutout innings and five strikeouts. Also, closer Jason Ruffcorn pitched a shutout ninth inning to earn his fifth save.

Five players got two hits in OU’s 10-5 win in the series finales, including catcher Brady Lindsly, who drove in two. Starter Levi Prater earned his fifth win with six strikeouts in five innings and allowed an unearned run. Also, Ruffcorn earned another save after a five-out shutout outing.

OU will travel to Stillwater to face Oklahoma State, 15-7, on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m.
