OU Athletic Events Coming Up

Here is a list of upcoming events for University of Oklahoma Athletics:

OU Softball- The OU Softball team will be hosting a doubleheader against Dartmouth University this Saturday, March 5th at 1:00pm and 3:30pm. OU Softball is off to a 10-4 start to the young season.

OU Baseball- The OU Baseball team will be hosting Central Arkansas this afternoon, March 1st at 4:00pm at L. Dale Mitchell Park. Coach Hughes squad has had a rough start to the 2016 season with a 3-5 start. Certainly not the start Coach Hughes had in mind before tougher competition comes up on the schedule. After today’s game against Central Arkansas, the Sooners will head to sunny Los Angeles, California for the Dodger Stadium Classic happening March 4th-6th. The Sooners will be taking on USC on Friday, March 4th at 8:00pm, UCLA on Saturday, March 5th at 8:00pm, and Mississippi State on Sunday, March 6th at 1:00pm. All games will be played in Chavez Ravine at Dodger Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

OU Track & Field- The OU Track & Field teams are on to the NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama on Friday, March 11th and 12th. This past weekend, the Sooners competed in the Big 12 Indoor Championships with the women finishing 4th overall on the first day and 8th on the second day, while the men finished 6th overall the first day and 5th on the second day.

OU Men’s Tennis- The #10 ranked OU Men’s Tennis team are hosting the Buckeyes of Ohio State University on Sunday, March 6th at 12:00pm. The Sooners are coming off of a sweep of the #17 Memphis Tigers yesterday going 4-0.

OU Women’s Tennis- Next on the schedule for the OU Women’s Tennis team be Bedlam against the Oklahoma State Cowgirls in Stillwater on Saturday, March 5th.

OU Women’s Gymnastics- The #1 ranked OU Women’s Gymnastics team will be competing against UCLA for a meet on Sunday, March 13th in Los Angeles, California.

OU Men’s Gymnastics- The #1 ranked OU Men’s Gymnastics team will be hosting the #2 ranked Stanford Cardinal this Saturday, March 5th. Should be a great matchup of the two top ranked teams in the NCAA!

OU Men’s Basketball- Up next for the #6 ranked OU Men’s Basketball team is the Baylor Bears at the Lloyd Noble Center this evening with the tip at 7:00pm. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2. We’ll see if the Sooners can take care of business on Senior Night as Buddy Hield, Ryan Spangler, Isaiah Cousins, Dinjiyl Walker, C.J. Cole, and Austin Mankin will take the court one final time at the Lloyd Noble Center. On top of Senior Night, the OU Sooners will honor Blake Griffin’s jersey at halftime.

OU Women’s Basketball- The #23 ranked OU Women’s Basketball team will be taking on Texas Tech Red Raiders in the regular season finale tonight at Lubbock, TX with the tip at 6:30pm. The Lady Sooners will then go on to the Big 12 Conference Championship Tournament at Chesapeake Energy Arena in downtown Oklahoma City starting this Friday, March 4th.

OU Wrestling- The #7 ranked OU Wrestling team is on to the Big 12 Conference Championship Tournament in Kansas City, MO at the Sprint Center this Saturday and Sunday, March 5th-6th.
