For the first time since 1980, Oklahoma State and Arkansas will meet on the gridiron.
Through a Twitter back and forth, the two schools announced a home-and-home series on Thursday afternoon. The first date is Sept. 7, 2024, in Stillwater while the teams will meet again Sept. 11, 2027, in Fayetteville.

The teams met 46 times between 1912 and 1980. Arkansas owns a 30-15-1 advantage in the series. The teams played every year from 1962-80 before the series became dormant.
The coaches in that 1980 meeting> Jimmy Johnson for OSU and Lou Holtz for the Razorbacks. Arkansas pulled off a 33-20 victory.
32 of the series 46 games were played on Arkansas’ home field. OSU is 4-4-1in Stillwater against the Razorbacks and holds a 3-2-1 advantage during neutral site contests.
The Cowboys (4-2 overall, 1-2 Big 12) return to action Saturday when they travel to face Kansas State at 11 a.m.
