Oklahoma Wins Two Of Three Against Missouri State In Norman

The Sooners, 16-4 overall, lost the series opener 11-8 against the Bears, 5-13.  OU catcher Justin Mitchell got two hits and drove in three, while left fielder Jordan Vujovich earned five walks. Starter Cade Cavalli did not earn a win despite seven strikeouts and 5 1/3 shutout innings.

Three Sooners got three hits in the 11-2 win in game two. Two of those three drove in three ech, including catcher Brady Lindsly and Cavalli. Starter Nathan Wiles allowed two runs during seven innings and earned his fourth win.

Cavalli’s second home run of the series helped the Sooners win the series finale 6-1. Starter Levi Prater struck out 17 during seven innings of one-run ball.

OU will travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to face the Nex Mexico Lobos, 11-7, in a two-game series. First game is Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
