Oklahoma Sweeps Columbia In Four-Game Home Weekend Series

The Sooners, 11-1 overall, won the series opener 12-3 against the Lions, 0-4 overall.  Shortstop Brandon Zaragoza and third baseman Brylie Ware combined for five RBIs and Ware hit a two-run home run. Starter Cade Cavalli earned his second win with six scoreless innings and five strikeouts.

OU finished the Friday doubleheader with a 9-1 win. First baseman Tyler Hardman led the team in the second game with three hits and a pair of two-run home runs. Starter Nathan Wiles earned his third win with six innings on one-run ball with four strikeouts.

Right fielder Tanner Tredaway and catcher Justin Mitchell each had three hits to help the Sooner win game three 9-0. Starter Levi Prater earned his second win with six scoreless innings and two strikeouts.

Zaragoza led the way with two RBIs in OU’s 6-2 win in the series finale. Starter Ben Abram got his third win with six innings of two-run ball and seven strikeouts.

OU will hit the road to face the Dallas Baptist Patriots, 8-3 overall, on Tuesday.
