Oklahoma State Won Series Against TCU

OSU, 18-8 overall, lost 7-4 in the series opener at Lupton Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. A fielding error allowed two runs to score before catcher Bryce Carter hit a two-run double. Starter Jensen Elliot allowed six runs, five earned, struck out two in four innings, while earning his first loss.

The Cowboys won game two 7-6 against Texas Christian University, 17-9. OSU hit five home runs, including Carson McCusker’s two-run home run. Starter Joe Lienhard allowed three runs and struck out two in 5 1/3 innings. Finally, closer Ben Leeper earned his third win with two strikeouts and a shutout ninth inning.

OSU won the series finale 9-8. Shortstop Andrew Navigato hit two home runs to lead OSU’s offense. Reliever Jake Lyons earned his second win after finishing the eighth inning before Leeper earned his fourth save after allowing a run and striking out two in the ninth.

OSU will host the Central Arkansas Bears, 12-16, on Tuesday at 6:05 p.m.
