Oklahoma State Wins Series Against Southeastern Louisiana

The Cowboys, 12-6 overall, shutout the Lions, 7-12, in the series opener at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium. Center fielder Trevor Boone drove in four runs with two doubles and starter Jensen Elliot earned his second win with five strikeouts and seven shutout innings.

Third baseman Andrew Navigato hit a two-run home run and a two-run single, which allowed OSU to win game two 5-1. Relief pitcher Joe Lienhard earned the win with 1 2/3 shutout innings, which followed starter Jake Lyons.

First baseman Christian Funk hit a sacrifice fly and a two-run double in OSU’s 5-3 loss in the series finale. Starter Mitchell Stone allowed three runs in 1 1/3 innings to earn his first loss.

OSU will travel to Dallas, Texas, to face the Dallas Baptist Patriots on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
