Oklahoma State Sweeps Kansas State, To Host Bedlam

The Cowboys, 15-7, started the weekend sweep with a 11-4 win in the series opener. Catcher Bryce Carter led OSU to victory with two two-run singles. Carter’s singles allowed starter Jensen Elliot to earn his third win with three strikeouts and three earned runs in 6 1/3 innings.

Left fielder Colin Simpson led OSU to a 5-4 win in game two with a two-run double. Also, infielder Andrew Navigato hit a solo home run. Reliever Ben Leeper earned his first win after striking out two in a five-out shutout outing to close the game.

Designated hitter Jake Taylor led the Cowboys to a 8-4 win in the series finale with two solo home runs. Also, Simpson hit a two-run home run. Reliever Jake Lyons earned the win and closed the game after striking out four in five shutout innings.

OSU will host the Oklahoma Sooners, 21-4, on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m.
