Oklahoma State Loses 10-3 Against Stetson, Set For South Florida Rematch

The three-seed Oklahoma State Cowboys (30-25-1) lost 10-3 against the one-seed Stetson Hatters (47-11) at Melching Field in Deland, Florida, as part of the NCAA Deland Regional.

 

Second baseman Andrew Rosa started OSU’s offense with a solo home run in the third inning. In the seventh, designated hitter Cade Cabbiness hit a solo home run before Rosa hit a RBI double in the ninth.

 

Starter Joe Lienhard allowed two runs, three walks and struck out three in three innings. Then, two relievers combined for eight runs allowed, seven earned, three walks and struck out five.

 

OSU’s next game is against the two-seed South Florida Bulls (36-21-1) at Melching Field in Deland, Florida, at 12 p.m. as part of the third day of the NCAA Deland Regional.
