Oklahoma State Eliminated From Big XII Tournament

The second-seeded Oklahoma State Cowboys (29-24-1) lost 6-2 to the third-seeded Texas Tech Red Raiders (39-16) in the day two of the Big 12 Championship at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, home of the Oklahoma City Dodgers, in Oklahoma City.

 

Left fielder Jon Littell started the scoring for OSU with a RBI single, as part of a three-hit game, in the first inning. Then, first baseman Christian Funk hit a RBI single in the fourth.

 

Lefty Carson Teel allowed three runs, four walks and struck out seven in five innings. Then, the bullpen allowed three runs, one walk and struck out two.

 

This serves as OSU’s last game of the Big XII Championship because it is double-elimination.
