Oklahoma State Beats Little Rock After Weather Cancels First 2019 Home Game

OSU beat the Trojans 8-3 at Allie P. Reynolds Fields, the last time OSU will host a season opener there. O’Brate Stadium will be the home of the Cowboys starting next season.

First baseman Christian Funk drove in a couple of runs with a sacrifice fly and a groundout, and designated hitter Bryce Carter drove in three Cowboys with two singles. The Cowboys also scored on a fielder’s choice, a fielding error, and when shortstop Max Hewitt stole home as part of a double steal.

Pitcher Jake Lyons earned his first win of the season with two scoreless innings pitched, following junior C.J. Valera’s four-scoreless innings.

OSU will stay in Stillwater as it hosts the Wright State Raiders during the weekend.
