Oklahoma Loses Series Against Baylor, Heading To Tulsa

The Sooners, 25-12 overall, lost a three-game series against the Baylor Bears, 24-10. OU lost the series opener 7-5. Third baseman Brylie Ware hit a three-run home run, his fourth. Starter Cade Cavalli struck out one and allowed three runs in 5 1/3 innings to earn his fifth win. Then, closer Jason Ruffcorn earned his eighth save after striking out two in a four-out appearance.

OU lost 7-3 in game two. Cavalli hit a solo home run, his fourth, and catcher Brady Lindsly hit a RBI single. Starter Nathan Wiles struck out three and allowed seven runs in 7 1/3 innings.

OU lost game three. Ware hit a RBI double and starter Levi Prater allowed two runs, one earned, and struck out seven in six innings. Then, Ruffcorn earned the loss after allowing a run in 3 2/3 innings.

OU will post the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles, 16-17, in Tulsa on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
