Oklahoma Loses 8-1 Against Mississippi State in Tallahassee Regional Final

The three-seed Oklahoma Sooners (38-25) lost 8-1 against the two-seed Mississippi State Bulldogs (35-26) in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional Final at Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida.

Catcher Justin Mitchell hit a RBI groundout in the second inning, which was the lone run for Oklahoma.

Starter Levi Prater allowed three runs and two walks in 4 2/3 innings. Then, five relievers combined for five runs allowed, four earned, one walk and struck out three.

This loss ends OU’s season because of the double-elimination format of the NCAA Regional series.
