Oklahoma Held Scoreless In Day One, Face Texas On Day Two Of Big XII Championship

The fourth-seeded Oklahoma Sooners (34-22) lost 4-0 to the fifth-seeded Baylor Bears (33-19) in the first round of the Big 12 Championship at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, home of the Oklahoma City Dodgers, in Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

 

OU was held scoreless and had four hits.

 

Starter Jake Irvin pitched five innings, allowed two runs, zero earned, walked two and struck out six. Then, five relievers combined for two runs allowed, four walks and four strikeouts.

 

OU’s next game is against the first-seeded Texas Longhorns (37-19) in the second day of the Big 12 Championship at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, home of the Oklahoma City Dodgers, in Oklahoma City today at 9 a.m.
