Oklahoma Eliminated From Big XII Championship In Semi Finals

The fourth-seed Oklahoma Sooners (36-22) lost 10-3 fifth-seed Baylor Bears (35-19) in the fourth day of the Big 12 Championship at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, home of the Oklahoma City Dodgers, in Oklahoma City.


Catcher Justin Mitchell started OU’s offense with a RBI triple in the third inning. In the next inning, center fielder Cade Harris hit a two-run triple.


Starter Devon Perez allowed five runs, four earned, two walks and struck out six. Then, the bullpen combined for five runs allowed, five walks and struck out three.


This serves as OU’s last game of the Big XII Championship because it is double-elimination.
