Oklahoma Beats UT Arlington 4-2, Set For Bedlam

The Oklahoma Sooners (28-15) won 11-5 against the UT Arlington Mavericks in Arlington on Tuesday.

 

Center fielder Kyler Murray hit a RBI double, right fielder Steele Walker scored on a wild pitch and third baseman Brylie Ware hit a sacrifice fly in the first inning. In the second inning, designated hitter Tyler Hardman hit a two-run home run before Walker and Murray hit RBI doubles. In the next inning, outfielder Cade Harris hit a RBI single, shortstop Brandon Zaragoza hit a sacrifice fly and Walker hit a RBI single. Finally, outfielder Blake Brewster got a RBI walk in the ninth.

 

Five pitchers were used in Tuesday’s game. Reliever Dylan Grove earned his second win with 2 2/3 scoreless innings and picked up five strikeouts.

 

OU will play the Oklahoma State Cowboys (24-14-1) in a three-game series over the weekend. The series opener will be in Stillwater and the other two games will be in Tulsa.
