Oklahoma Beat Kansas State In Weekend Series

The Sooners, 30-15 overall and 8-7 Big 12, won two of three against the Wildcats, 21-24 and 6-9. OU won the series opener 8-4. Six players drove in a run, including designated hitter Justin Mitchell, who drove in two and got two hits. Starter Nathan Wiles allowed three runs, struck out six in 7 1/3 innings and earned his seventh win.

OU lost game two 5-2. Catcher Brady Lindsly drove in a run and got two hits. Starter Levi Prater allowed four runs and struck out 11 in 6 1/3 innings to earn his third loss.

OU lost the series finale 6-3 in 10 innings. Left fielder Diego Muniz drove in three runs, including two on a home run in the 10th inning. Starter Ben Abrams allowed two runs and struck out one in 3 2/3 innings and closer Jason Ruffcorn earned his second win after striking out one in two shutout innings.

OU will host the Texas Tech Red Raiders, 29-13 and 10-7, for a three-game series, which can be heard on:
