New Coaches Poll: OU Moves Up to 17, OSU Enters Top 25

The Buckeyes received 62 first-place votes in this week’s poll. The only remaining coaches poll first-place vote went to Alabama. Newcomers in this week’s coaches poll include No. 22 BYU, No. 24 Northwestern and No. 25 Oklahoma State. The SEC still has seven teams ranked in the coaches poll despite losing Arkansas and Tennessee following home losses this weekend. Boise State also dropped out of the coaches top 25 after losing at BYU late Saturday night. The Pac-12 has the second-most teams in the poll with five, followed by the Big 12 and Big Ten each with four and the ACC with three. Two independents (No. 10 Notre Dame and BYU) are also in the mix.
