Late Night Fantasy – Week 2 Studs and Duds

Week two featured many offenses inching along in the first half, like the Chiefs and Packers, while other offenses flourished like the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots. The Carolina Panthers only managed 9 points against the Bills, and it took the Cardinals overtime to take down Brissett and the Colts. Week two was an interesting week. Some players stepped it up big for owners, and many week one studs couldn’t get anything going.

Javarious Allen – Baltimore Ravens – Stud
The Ravens clearly liked “Buck” after his week one breakout, and utilized him in the passing and rushing attack in week two. He ran the ball 14 times for 67 yards, and for PPR owners, his five catches, 35 yards and a touchdown turned his week into a huge point production.

Michael Crabtree – Oakland Raiders – Stud
Crabtree showed off his hands in the raiders 55-20 thumping of the New York Jets, brining in 6 catches for 80 yards, and three, yes 3, touchdowns. In a PPR league, Crabtree’s day earned his owners nearly 30 points, providing Derek Carr with a huge day as well.

Bilal Powell – New York Jets – DUD
Powell has officially entered the DUD status in week two, getting only 6 carriers for 13 yards in a blowout loss to the Raiders. In a game where there offense had plenty of time on the field, Powell was missing from most of that. Even Josh McCown had more rushing yards than Powell. Its time to give up on Bilal.

Dallas Rushing Attack – DUD
For the first time in Zeke’s career, it was clear that the Cowboys lost the battle in the trenches, finishing with a combined 14 attempts for 40 yards. Ezekiel Elliot finished with 9 carriers for 8 yards…
Being down all game didn’t help, but Dak Prescott threw the ball 50 times, something he is not usually expected to do. They will look to run the ball more in week three, but for Fantasy Owners, week two was all around bad for the Cowboys offense.

A few more week two STUDS and DUDS
Mike Evans – 7 rec, 93 yards, 1 TD – STUD
Jordan Howard- 9 rushes, 7 yards – DUD
Kareem Hunt – 81 yards rushing, 2 TD’s – STUD
Seahawks offense – scored 12 points against the 49ers, and needed a walk off td catch to win – DUD
