Oklahoma Looking To Maintain Recent Momentum Against Kansas

WHO: Kansas (8-1)

WHEN: Saturday, November 11th @ 2:30 PM CT

WHERE: Lawrence, Kansas

HOW TO WATCH: ESPN

SCOUTING Kansas: The ultimate question about playing Kansas this time of the year is, “How do you get up to play Kansas?” When asked, Baker Mayfield and the rest of the Oklahoma players voiced the same thought all week, “We haven’t won the Big 12 yet.”

If that is the case, Oklahoma knows that they have been a little disrespected by the College Football Playoff Committee. Mayfield and the others sounded locked-in. Kansas does have exceptional defensive linemen in Dorance Armstrong and Daniel Wise, but for the most part, Oklahoma has overwhelming talent across the board. If the Sooners walk their talk, this game will be over fairly quickly. If not, and the focus is lacking after two emotional weeks against Oklahoma State and TCU, Kansas does have the capability of keeping things interesting for awhile.

We may not learn much about Oklahoma today, but one thing we will learn is how they are approaching Championship November in the Riley Era. The Sooners will have a chance to put a team away early today…and it will be key for them to make sure that happens with the College Football Playoff Committee watching the Big 12 very closely.
